byteSpark.ai is a recruitment agency supporting a client in KL for the position of Head of Talent Acquisition. In this strategic leadership role, you will architect and execute the comprehensive talent acquisition strategy for a large-scale, dynamic organization based in Kuala Lumpur. You will be responsible for driving all aspects of recruitment, from executive hiring to volume recruitment, by embedding data-driven practices and continuous process improvement. This commercially-focused position requires exceptional senior stakeholder management to align recruitment with long-term workforce planning and business objectives. Your mandate will include elevating the employer brand, optimizing recruiting operations, and owning all talent acquisition KPIs to ensure a consistent pipeline of high-quality talent. Furthermore, you will lead and develop a high-performing internal TA team, manage external agency partnerships, and ensure the entire function operates with market-leading efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
1. Minimum of 12 years of experience in talent acquisition, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing a team.
2. Proven experience developing and executing enterprise-level recruitment strategies in a large corporate environment.
3. Demonstrable experience in workforce planning and aligning talent acquisition with long-term business goals.
4. Expertise in managing and influencing C-suite and senior-level business stakeholders on talent-related matters.
5. Strong background in optimizing recruiting operations, including process mapping, technology implementation (ATS/CRM), and continuous improvement.
6. In-depth knowledge of data analytics for talent acquisition, including defining, tracking, and reporting on KPIs like time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and quality-of-hire.
7. Experience in managing vendor and recruitment agency relationships, including contract negotiation and performance management.
8. Comprehensive understanding of Malaysian employment law and local talent market dynamics.
Desirable
1. Experience within the technology, financial services, or telecommunications sectors in Malaysia.
2. Certification in strategic workforce planning or data analytics (e.g., SHRM, HCI).
3. Proven track record of leading significant change management initiatives within a TA function.
4. Experience managing recruitment across the broader Southeast Asia (SEA) region.
5. Advanced proficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
