Interim Crisis Plant Manager Mexico

We are seeking an experienced Interim Crisis Plant Manager to take immediate control of our manufacturing facility in Mexico with approximately 100 employees. The role involves restoring operational control, addressing high customer escalation concerns, and implementing best-in-class shopfloor management systems. The Interim Manager will optimize production planning, align with global stakeholders, and lead through significant organizational change. This hands-on role will require stabilizing the workforce, building trust, and creating an environment of retention and accountability with a focus on achieving operational excellence. Proficiency in navigating cross-cultural environments and fluency in English and Spanish are crucial for success.

Requirements

1. 10+ years of experience in operational turnaround and plant management within manufacturing, specifically in the automotive sector.

2. Demonstrated expertise in managing and de-escalating OEM customer concerns during crisis situations.

3. Strong knowledge of Tier-1 automotive supplier processes, escalation protocols, and customer interfacing.

4. Proven ability to implement lean principles, daily shopfloor routines, and visual KPI management systems.

5. Skills in reorganizing production planning, scheduling, and order management to ensure supply chain reliability.

6. Fluency in English and Spanish with experience working in Mexico or similar cultural environments.

Desirable

1. Experience in motivating and stabilizing demoralized workforces with high turnover rates.

2. Demonstrated ability to align effectively with global logistics, engineering, and production teams.

3. Expertise in performance-driven workforce culture development at the shopfloor level.
