Description
byteSpark.ai is supporting a regional investment group (GCC) to strengthen how digital platforms, data, and internal systems enable investment execution, investor engagement, and operational scale across the group. This mandate is for a senior operator to own and evolve the group’s portfolio of digital platforms that support investment teams, investors, and internal operations. The director will partner closely with investment, compliance, and leadership teams to digitize critical workflows and decision-making processes in a regulated environment. This role acts as the essential bridge between business objectives and technical execution, driving platform strategy, prioritization, and delivery. The focus is on improving data infrastructure and reporting to enhance decision-making throughout the investment lifecycle. Success requires translating complex product and data insights into scalable execution, ensuring robust governance and long-term institutional value. This is not an IT leadership role but a business-led platform ownership mandate focused on cross-functional outcomes.
Requirements
1. Demonstrated experience in product or platform management within regulated financial services, such as asset management, private equity, or investment-focused fintech.
2. Proven ability to translate complex business and regulatory requirements into platform features and system roadmaps.
3. Strong understanding of the investment lifecycle, from deal sourcing and due diligence to portfolio management and investor reporting.
4. Experience improving data governance, infrastructure, and the delivery of business intelligence for decision support.
5. Expertise in managing and influencing senior stakeholders across diverse functions, including investment, compliance, operations, and technology.
6. Proficiency in roadmap development, prioritization, and leading agile delivery in a corporate setting.
7. Ability to lead and align cross-functional teams and external vendors without direct managerial authority.
8. Experience operating in a cross-border or multi-jurisdictional investment environment.
Desirable
1. Familiarity with alternative investments, private capital markets, or Shari’ah-compliant financial products.
2. Direct experience working within the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) financial markets and regulatory landscape.
3. Knowledge of core investment management systems (e.g., portfolio management, CRM, investor portals).
4. Background in system integration projects and enterprise architecture principles.
