Chief Operating Officer

Description

We are seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the operations, digital transformation, and expansion strategy for a multi-format retail and F&B group with a presence across the GCC. Reporting to the Group CEO and Board of Directors, the COO will own full P&L responsibilities, drive EBITDA growth, and ensure superior customer experience through data-driven decision-making and operational efficiencies. This role involves spearheading store rollouts, digital commerce advancements, and Lean/Six Sigma initiatives while fostering a high-performance team culture. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in scaling businesses, strategic acquisitions, and omnichannel excellence.

Requirements

1. 20+ years of experience in multi-site retail/F&B operations, with at least 5 years in C-level/GM roles overseeing a P&L of USD 75M+.

2. Demonstrated success in large-scale store rollouts (15+ openings annually) and turning around underperforming entities.

3. Extensive experience in digital commerce, loyalty programs, and cloud-kitchen business models in the GCC region.

4. Strong ability in lease negotiations, anchor tenant acquisitions, and mall-based retail expansion.

5. Advanced proficiency in ERP/POS systems and BI analytics dashboards for operational excellence.

6. MBA or equivalent in Business, Finance, or Engineering with strong financial acumen.

Desirable

1. Proven expertise in Lean/Six Sigma strategies to optimize inventory, reduce stock losses, and improve delivery metrics.

2. Experience leading M&A activities including due diligence, valuations, and post-acquisition integration.

3. Track record of implementing successful training academies and enhancing employee engagement initiatives.
