A client of byteSpark.ai is seeking a commercially driven Senior Investment Placement & Capital Raising professional to independently source, pitch, and close capital commitments across KSA and Kuwait. This is a pure execution role — you will be on the ground every day, building your own investor pipeline from scratch, walking into meetings with family offices and HNW individuals, presenting private equity, real estate, and venture capital opportunities, and personally closing commitments with minimal oversight. The client is a Shariah-compliant alternative asset manager with a growing presence in KSA. You will work independently with a Year 1 target of USD 10 million in closed commitments scaling in subsequent years, collaborate with internal investment teams to ensure every investor proposal is tailored and compelling, and maintain full KYC, AML, and FATCA/CRS compliance across all investor onboarding within SAMA and CMA regulatory frameworks. This role is for someone who has done this before, owns their relationships, and can move an opportunity from first meeting to signed commitment without being pushed.
Requirements
1. Minimum 5 years of experience in investment placement, capital raising, or institutional sales within private equity, real estate, venture capital, or a related alternative investment strategy with clear evidence of personally closing capital commitments, not supporting others who close.
2. Verifiable and documented track record of independently sourcing investors, pitching alternative investment products, and closing capital commitments from family offices and HNW individuals in KSA, with named transactions or named investors you personally closed.
3. Strong, active, and personally owned investor network within KSA and Kuwait — relationships you built yourself that will follow you, not relationships inherited from an employer.
4. Deep working knowledge of alternative investment products including private equity, real estate, and venture capital, with direct experience presenting and placing these products with investors in the GCC.
5. Demonstrated ability to build and manage a deal pipeline from scratch including investor profiling, structured follow-up, and converting leads into closed commitments.
6. Hands-on experience owning the full investor onboarding compliance process including KYC, AML, and FATCA/CRS documentation.
7. Working knowledge of SAMA and CMA regulatory requirements as they apply to fund distribution and investor-facing activities in KSA.
8. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related business field.
Desirable
1. MBA or Master's degree in Finance or a related field.
2. Experience closing commitments across multiple GCC markets including UAE, Qatar, or Bahrain in addition to KSA and Kuwait.
3. Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic — Arabic is a strong advantage when working with family offices and HNW individuals in KSA.
4. CMA licensed or CME certified in Saudi Arabia.
5. Familiarity with CRM tools for pipeline tracking, investor profiling, and reporting closed commitments to senior leadership.
6. GCC national — preferred given the primary investor segments and market context.
