A client of byteSpark.ai is seeking a Senior Data Governance Engineer (Informatica) to lead metadata management and governance across the enterprise. This role focuses on implementing and optimizing Informatica solutions, ensuring data quality, lineage tracking, and metadata standardization. You will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define governance policies, develop automated workflows, and enhance data integrity.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Informatica EDC, Axon, and IDQ, coupled with a deep understanding of metadata frameworks and data lineage strategies. You will oversee metadata tool selection, establish business glossaries, and drive adoption of governance best practices. A strong background in data quality validation, automation, and stakeholder engagement is essential.
This position requires continuous monitoring of data governance KPIs, risk mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure compliance with industry standards. You will work closely with teams to streamline metadata processes, improve governance transparency, and support enterprise data strategies while fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
Requirements
1. 8+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management, and Informatica solutions (EDC, Axon, IDQ).
2. Strong expertise in data lineage, business glossaries, and metadata repositories to enhance governance frameworks.
3. Hands-on experience in configuring and maintaining Informatica EDC, Axon, and IDQ workflows for data quality and validation.
4. Proven ability to establish metadata management standards, automate workflows, and ensure compliance with governance policies.
5. Experience in collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to define data governance strategies and drive adoption.
6. Knowledge of data quality controls, validation techniques, and metadata best practices to maintain enterprise-wide data integrity.
7. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to optimize metadata strategies and enforce governance policies across teams.
8. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
