Senior QA Automation Engineer – Cypress Expert

Our client based in Dubai and Kuala Lumpur is looking for a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer in each location. The candidate will have specialized expertise in Cypress to join the dynamic and innovative team. In this role, you will design and implement robust automation test suites, leveraging Cypress to ensure high-quality software releases. You will collaborate closely with product managers and developers to define testing strategies, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and create custom commands for reusable test flows. Candidates with practical experience creating, optimizing, and debugging Cypress test suites will thrive in this position. While experience with other tools is valued, deep hands-on Cypress experience is non-negotiable for this role. Location: 1 position in Dubai and 1 position in Malaysia

Requirements

1. At least 3+ years of experience in automation testing, with a minimum of 2 years actively using Cypress.

2. Proficient programming skills in JavaScript for writing test scripts and logic.

3. Demonstrated experience in API testing, including mocking and verifying API behavior.

4. Hands-on experience integrating Cypress tests into CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.

5. Comprehensive knowledge of debugging flaky tests, optimizing stability, and working with browser DOM and asynchronous behavior.

Desirable

1. Familiarity with other automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, or TestCafe.

2. Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber.

3. Knowledge of performance and visual regression testing tools for enhanced QA processes.
