Description
byteSpark.ai is proud to be supporting one of the UAE’s most forward-thinking incubators as they launch a groundbreaking initiative: bringing world-class HR leadership to startups that can’t yet afford a full-time CHRO.
We’re searching for a visionary Head of Fractional HR & Talent Solutions to design and lead this pioneering practice. In this role, you will:
Build a community of elite HR leaders who will serve as fractional CHROs for our portfolio startups.
Create scalable HR frameworks and playbooks tailored to the unique challenges of early-stage companies.
Mentor founders directly, guiding them on culture, organizational design, and talent strategy.
Shape the future of HR in the startup ecosystem by embedding strategic people leadership from day one.
This is not a traditional HR position — it’s a chance to become the architect of a new HR model in Dubai’s startup ecosystem. You’ll combine your experience as a senior HR executive with your passion for community building, leaving a lasting impact on both founders and the broader innovation landscape.
If you’re an entrepreneurial leader who thrives on building from the ground up and wants to make HR a true growth driver for startups, this is your opportunity to lead something truly transformative.
Requirements
1. 10+ years of progressive experience in senior HR leadership roles (CHRO, VP of People, Head of HR).
2. Demonstrable experience working within or advising early-stage, fast-scaling startups.
3. Proven ability to design strategic HR frameworks, policies, and systems from scratch.
4. Strong network within the HR and talent community, with a preference for connections in the Middle East.
5. Experience in building and leading professional communities, peer groups, or mentoring programs.
6. Excellent mentorship and advisory skills, with a track record of coaching founders or C-level executives.
7. Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of how HR impacts startup financials, fundraising, and valuation.
8. Deep familiarity with regional employment laws and cultural nuances in the Middle East.
Desirable
1. Direct experience working as a fractional HR leader, consultant, or independent advisor.
2. Experience scaling a new business unit or practice within a larger organization.
3. A strong, active professional presence on platforms like LinkedIn, demonstrating thought leadership.
4. Experience forging partnerships with HR tech providers, universities, or professional associations.
5. Comfort with ambiguity and operating in resource-constrained, entrepreneurial environments.
