Chief Transformation Officer (CTO)

Description

We are seeking an experienced Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) to lead a multi-year transformation journey for a leading retail organization in the UAE. This individual will design and implement strategies to enhance customer-centricity, improve operational efficiencies, and achieve scalable digital growth. Reporting to the Group CEO and Board of Directors, the CTO will spearhead initiatives such as operating model redesign, ERP integration, and strategic innovation across the retail value chain. The role also involves driving cost-optimization programs across stores, headquarters, and supply chains, while incubating new value-adding verticals. This is a pivotal leadership role that ensures strategic alignment, value realization, and delivery of sustainable business impact.

Requirements

1. A minimum of 20 years of leadership experience in retail or consumer sectors, inclusive of GCC transformation expertise.

2. Proven expertise in crafting and implementing enterprise-wide digital transformation strategies.

3. Demonstrated success in cost optimization and redesigning operating models for enhanced efficiency.

4. Experience in launching or revitalizing multi-format retail businesses with measurable results.

5. Proficiency in embedding agile methodologies such as OKRs and cross-functional pods.

6. Strong abilities in stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership.

Desirable

1. Fluency in Arabic to facilitate effective communication across regional stakeholders.

2. Experience incubating new verticals such as B2B distribution, central kitchens, or fulfillment models.

3. Familiarity with omnichannel optimization and AI-powered analytics tools.
