About the role
A client of byteSpark.ai is seeking an Equity Capital Markets Analyst to join its Corporate Finance team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The analyst will support the origination and execution of equity capital markets and related corporate finance transactions across MENA and international markets. Responsibilities include preparing pitch books, marketing presentations, investor materials, information memoranda, term sheets, and transaction documentation. The successful candidate will develop and review financial models using DCF, DDM, LBO, merger analysis, and other relevant valuation methodologies. The role involves evaluating business models, financial statements, market conditions, investor demand, and transaction structures to support recommendations. The analyst will participate in client and investor discussions while coordinating due diligence and reviews with legal, risk, compliance, and finance stakeholders. They will monitor regional and global equity market developments, comparable transactions, valuation trends, and investment opportunities. The position requires accurate execution, effective management of concurrent assignments, and delivery of high-quality work within demanding transaction timelines. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience in equity capital markets, investment banking, mergers and acquisitions, or transaction advisory within a reputable financial institution or professional services firm.
- Demonstrated knowledge of equity offerings, capital-raising processes, investor positioning, transaction structures, and public market dynamics.
- Advanced financial modeling skills, including practical experience with DCF, DDM, LBO, merger analysis, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for financial analysis, valuation modeling, pitch books, and investor-facing materials.
- Experience preparing transaction documents such as information memoranda, term sheets, management presentations, marketing materials, and due diligence outputs.
- Ability to interpret financial statements, evaluate business models, conduct market research, and formulate evidence-based transaction recommendations.
- Working knowledge of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, risk controls, and due diligence requirements applicable to capital markets transactions.
Desirable skills
- Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or another relevant discipline.
- CFA qualification or progress toward the CFA designation.
- Experience supporting IPOs, follow-on offerings, rights issues, private placements, accelerated bookbuilds, or equity-linked transactions.
- Exposure to financial markets in MENA and major international centers such as London, New York, Singapore, or Hong Kong.
- Experience communicating with institutional investors, senior corporate executives, legal advisers, auditors, and regulatory stakeholders.

Candidates should have practical experience with valuation methodologies such as DCF, DDM, comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, LBO modelling, and merger analysis, together with advanced Excel skills and the ability to translate analysis into clear transaction recommendations.
Candidates will stand out if they can demonstrate direct involvement in completed or active ECM transactions and clearly explain their personal contribution. Experience supporting IPOs, follow-on offerings, rights issues, private placements, accelerated bookbuilds, or equity-linked transactions will be especially valuable, particularly where the candidate can show transaction scope, valuation work, investor materials, or execution responsibility.
