We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Finance to join our executive team in a well-established family business within the automotive sector. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of progressive financial expertise, including substantial experience at a Director level. This role is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, driving the company's financial strategy, and ensuring robust financial governance. You will lead financial planning and analysis, manage capital, and provide strategic recommendations to the board and senior management. Your leadership will be crucial in navigating the complexities of the automotive industry and the unique dynamics of a family-owned enterprise. This position requires a leader who can balance tradition with innovation, ensuring the long-term financial health and sustainable growth of the business.
Requirements
1. Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
2. A minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in financial management.
3. Demonstrated experience in a Finance Director or equivalent senior executive role.
4. In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law, risk management practices, and corporate governance.
5. Expertise in strategic financial planning, forecasting, and long-range capital management.
6. Proven financial leadership experience within the automotive industry.
7. High proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.
8. Experience with modern ERP systems and financial management software.
Desirable
1. Direct experience working within a family-owned business environment.
2. Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and business integration.
3. An MBA or other advanced degree in Finance or a related field.
4. Experience in managing relationships with banks, investors, and other financial stakeholders.
5. Knowledge of automotive supply chain finance and manufacturing cost structures.
