We are seeking a highly experienced Senior HR Business Partner to lead and manage all human resources operations for our dynamic Construction Division. In this strategic role, you will partner directly with business leaders to develop and execute HR strategies that align with our operational goals and drive excellence. You will be the primary driver for all HR functions, including complex employee relations, comprehensive performance management, and workforce planning. A key focus will be on ensuring the consistent implementation of HR policies and strict compliance with all labor laws across multiple project sites. Your expertise will be crucial in handling disciplinary actions, resolving grievances, and fostering a positive, high-performance culture. This position requires a hands-on leader capable of providing expert guidance to site HR teams, ensuring consistency and operational efficiency throughout the division. Requirements
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with significant experience in a business partner role.
3. Demonstrated HR experience within the construction, engineering, or a related industrial sector.
4. In-depth knowledge of labor laws, compliance requirements, and HR regulations relevant to project-based industries.
5. Proven expertise in managing complex employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and grievance resolution.
6. Experience in designing and implementing performance management systems and initiatives.
7. Strong background in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures across multiple sites.
8. Proficiency in using HRIS and other HR-related software.
Desirable
1. Professional HR certification such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR.
2. Experience managing HR functions for a geographically dispersed workforce.
3. Strong skills in change management and organizational development.
4. Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
5. Experience with unionized workforces and collective bargaining agreements.
