VP of Investment Placement - UAE
Description
A client of byteSpark.ai is seeking a commercially driven and highly organised Senior Vice President of Investment Placement to execute and grow their investment business across KSA and Kuwait. The ideal candidate brings 8–10 years of progressive experience in investment management, with a proven, hands-on track record of executing fundraising campaigns, building and converting investor relationships, and managing active deal pipelines across the GCC. This is a delivery-focused role — while the position can be based in the UAE, the markets you will own are KSA and Kuwait, and deep, active knowledge of and presence within both is essential. You will independently source and close capital from HNW individuals, family offices, institutional investors, and financial institutions, while collaborating closely with internal teams across real estate, private equity, and investments to ensure every investor proposal is tailored, compelling, and commercially sound. You will manage and align a placement team around shared pipeline targets, maintain full compliance with SAMA, CMA, KYC, and AML requirements across all investor onboarding and ongoing due diligence obligations, and generate consistent business development activity that builds long-term investor relationships and measurable AUM growth. A strong and active investor network within KSA and Kuwait is essential, as is the discipline and commercial instincts to move opportunities from first meeting to closed commitment with minimal oversight.
Requirements
1. A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in investment management, with a clear progression into a senior or leadership role.
2. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related business field.
3. Verifiable track record of independently executing fundraising campaigns and closing capital from institutional investors, HNW individuals, and family offices across KSA and the broader GCC.
4. Strong existing and active investor network within KSA and Kuwait.
5. Deep working knowledge of alternative investment products including real estate, private equity, and Venture Capital, with direct experience presenting and placing these products with investors.
6. Demonstrated experience building and managing an active deal pipeline, including structured follow-up, investor profiling, and converting leads into closed commitments.
7. Hands-on experience managing investor onboarding compliance including KYC, AML, and FATCA/CRS documentation requirements.
8. Working knowledge of SAMA and CMA regulatory requirements as they apply to fundraising and investor-facing activities.
9. Proven ability to collaborate across internal functions including real estate, private equity, and investor operations to develop tailored investor proposals.
10. Proven ability to manage and align a placement team around shared pipeline and fundraising targets.
Desirable
1. MBA or a Master's degree in Finance or a related field.
2. Experience working across multiple GCC markets including UAE, Qatar, or Bahrain in addition to KSA and Kuwait.
3. Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic.
4. Experience generating and presenting investor status reports and pipeline updates to senior leadership.
5. Familiarity with CRM tools or investor database management for pipeline tracking and investor profiling.
