Survey Technician, Customer Network Solution

Description

We are seeking a specialist Survey Technician to join our Customer Network Solution team at Ooredoo. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end physical delivery and provisioning of complex network solutions for our B2B customers. Your primary focus will be on conducting site surveys and establishing customer network services, including Business Internet, MPLS IPVPNs, SD-WAN, and various voice products. You will coordinate extensively with third-party vendors and internal departments to ensure service requests are delivered efficiently and within agreed KPI commitments. This position requires hands-on expertise in network hardware, physical troubleshooting, and educating customers on technical site preparations. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction and uphold Ooredoo's reputation for service excellence. Requirements

1. Minimum of 3 years of experience with MPLS IP services and Voice services CPE provisioning and troubleshooting.

2. A valid CCNA or equivalent networking certification is mandatory.

3. Strong skillset and experience with IP Networking, L2/L3 Protocols, IPv4, IPv6, MPLS, POTN, SDH, and FTTX.

4. Good knowledge of router and switch hardware, functionalities, and features from vendors like Cisco and Huawei.

5. Proven experience in physical network troubleshooting using diagnostic tools like fiber optic power meters, Ethernet testers, and traffic analysers.

6. Experience in managing customer site readiness, including providing technical prerequisites and network diagrams.

7. Ability to coordinate with third-party suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely service delivery.

8. Proficiency in using CRM and reporting tools such as Siebel, Field Force Automation, or equivalent.

Desirable

1. ITIL or BICSI certification.

2. A Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related field.

3. Experience in customer relationship management within a B2B telco environment.

4. Excellent skills in technical reporting and documentation.

5. Flexibility to work varied hours when required to meet project deadlines.
