Description
We are seeking an experienced Regional Head of Legal for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) to lead legal functions across diverse jurisdictions in alignment with our global strategies. The successful candidate will oversee all legal and regulatory matters, manage legal risks, and provide strategic guidance in public sector dealings. They will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, as well as guiding sales and tender teams in public sector bids. The role also involves dispute resolution, risk assessment, and mentoring a regional team to ensure professional growth and effectiveness. Fluency in English and French and a proven track record in managing transnational legal teams are essential for this position.
Requirements
1. Law degree (JD, LLB, or equivalent) and membership in a Bar association.
2. At least 10+ years of experience in legal advisory roles involving contracts, tenders, and procurement.
3. Proficiency in contract drafting, reviewing, and negotiation for proposals and procurement processes.
4. Experience in managing and mitigating legal risks, especially in public sector dealings.
5. Demonstrated ability to lead legal teams across multiple jurisdictions and cultures.
6. Fluency in English and French.
