As a Solar Asset Manager / Performance Engineer, you will be pivotal in maximizing the performance and profitability of our utility-scale solar PV portfolio across India. This role requires a unique blend of engineering expertise, data analytics, and commercial acumen to ensure every asset achieves optimal yield and reliability. You will lead the comprehensive monitoring of plant performance, conducting root-cause analysis and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your responsibilities will include overseeing O&M service providers, ensuring >99% uptime, and managing warranty claims. Furthermore, you will develop insightful performance reports for key stakeholders, conduct in-depth technical analyses, and ensure strict adherence to PPA terms, grid codes, and QHSE standards. This position is ideal for a proactive problem-solver passionate about leveraging technology and data to drive operational excellence in the renewable energy sector.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering.
2. 5–10 years of experience in solar power plant operations, asset management, or performance engineering.
3. Demonstrated success in improving Performance Ratio (PR) and Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF) for utility-scale solar PV assets (>50 MW).
4. Hands-on proficiency with SCADA, data acquisition systems, and CMMS platforms.
5. Advanced skills in data analytics tools such as Power BI, Python, or Excel VBA for performance analysis.
6. In-depth understanding of PPA structures, grid codes, and regulatory compliance in the Indian power sector.
7. Experience conducting energy yield assessments, degradation analysis, and life-cycle studies.
8. Strong knowledge of QHSE standards and safety protocols within power plant operations.
Desirable
1. Professional certification in Renewable Energy Systems or Performance Analytics.
2. Experience leading digitalization initiatives like predictive maintenance or drone-based inspections.
3. Familiarity with technology evaluation for modules, inverters, and battery storage systems.
4. Proven project management and stakeholder management skills.
5. Experience with ISO documentation and participation in internal/external audits.
