Description
A client of byteSpark.ai is seeking a highly experienced Sourcing Manager to lead a critical strategic engagement. This role focuses on the end-to-end management of professional services and technology vendors within a large enterprise environment. The successful candidate will drive strategic sourcing initiatives, manage the complete vendor onboarding lifecycle, and ensure seamless stakeholder alignment across procurement, legal, and commercial teams. You will be responsible for developing and refining vendor engagement models to foster strategic partnerships. This position requires a senior practitioner with demonstrable influence over vendor approval processes and a proven track record of enabling vendors to deliver maximum value. The objective is to secure a leader who can navigate complex organizational structures and directly impact vendor strategy and performance.
Requirements
1. Minimum 7-10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or vendor management.
2. Proven expertise in sourcing technology and professional services categories.
3. Demonstrated experience in managing complex contract negotiations and vendor agreements.
4. Strong understanding of procurement systems and source-to-pay (S2P) processes.
5. Experience in building and managing relationships with senior-level internal stakeholders.
6. In-depth knowledge of vendor onboarding, risk assessment, and due diligence processes.
7. Ability to analyze market trends and apply them to sourcing strategies.
8. Experience working within large, matrixed enterprise environments.
Desirable
1. Professional certification such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS).
2. Experience with e-procurement and vendor management software (e.g., Coupa, Ariba).
3. Project management skills or certification (e.g., PMP).
4. Advanced financial acumen and experience with total cost of ownership (TCO) modeling.
5. Experience in developing and implementing vendor performance management frameworks.
