Description
As a Category Marketing Sr. Advisor, you will be the driving force behind our category's strategic growth and profitability. You will take full ownership of the end-to-end portfolio management for the region, developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to ensure sustainable growth. This pivotal role involves deep P&L responsibility, where you will analyze performance, identify deviations, and uncover opportunities for improvement. By leveraging internal and external data, you will craft actionable plans and define new product opportunities to fill market gaps. Your success will depend on your ability to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams like S&OP, R&D, and Commercial to bring business plans to life. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical acumen and a proven ability to translate insights into tangible business results, ultimately shaping the future of our brands in the market.
Requirements
1. 3 – 5 years of experience in category management, marketing, or a related business role within the FMCG sector.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field.
3. Demonstrated experience managing a P&L, including analysis of volume, revenue, pricing, and costs.
4. Proven ability to develop and execute category strategies encompassing portfolio mix, pricing, and channel distribution.
5. Advanced analytical skills with experience using market intelligence and performance data (e.g., Nielsen, Kantar) to derive insights.
6. Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including S&OP, R&D, and Commercial.
7. Proficiency in translating strategic plans into operational processes like PO and Cycle planning.
8. Fluent in English (speaking, writing, and reading).
Desirable
1. Master's degree or MBA.
2. Experience in identifying market 'white spaces' and contributing to new product development pipelines.
3. Familiarity with value engineering projects to optimize costs.
4. Proficiency in Arabic or Portuguese.
5. Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering results on time.
