Food Unit Company, a leader in the food industry in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a visionary and results-driven Chief Operations Officer (COO) to join our executive team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader responsible for driving operational excellence and maximizing efficiency across all facets of our organization. You will develop and execute comprehensive operational strategies, ensuring our productivity and profitability targets are not only met but exceeded. This role involves overseeing all day-to-day operations, from supply chain management to production, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance. Requirements
1. A minimum of 10-15 years of progressive executive experience in operations management, preferably within the food and beverage or FMCG sector.
2. Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, business development, and developing long-term operational roadmaps.
3. Proven track record of creating and managing annual operational forecasts, budgets, and P&L statements.
4. In-depth knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, production, and quality control processes.
5. Strong ability to analyze operational data and performance metrics (KPIs) to drive efficiency and profitability.
6. Experience in market analysis and identifying new business opportunities for growth.
7. Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing large, cross-functional teams and mentoring senior staff.
8. Proficiency in presenting complex operational strategies and financial reports to C-level executives and board members.
Desirable
1. MBA or an advanced degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
2. Significant professional experience working within Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, or the broader GCC market.
3. Fluency in both English and Arabic.
4. Hands-on experience with modern ERP systems and other business management software.
5. Strong understanding of local regulatory and compliance standards for the food industry in Saudi Arabia.
