Description
The Head of Client Asset Oversight (HCAO) - PCF 53 will be responsible for managing the safeguarding of client assets, aligning with the Client Asset Regulations and CBI standards. This role involves developing and maintaining a comprehensive Client Asset Management Plan (CAMP), reviewing daily reconciliations, and preparing regulatory returns to ensure compliance. The HCAO will act as a subject matter expert advising senior management on client asset regulations, especially in relation to new business and product development. Additionally, they will oversee audits and regulatory engagements, collaborate with compliance and risk teams, and lead strategy development to enhance regulatory adherence and operational excellence. This leadership role also involves building proactive relationships with external and internal stakeholders to promote best practices and ensure a competitive edge in client asset management solutions.
Requirements
1. A proven track record in roles focused on safeguarding and managing client assets in the financial services industry.
2. An NFQ Level 8 degree or equivalent in disciplines like business, accounting, finance, economics, or law.
3. Extensive regulatory experience with a specialization in Client Asset Regulations and oversight.
4. Minimum 10 years of related work experience, including at least 7 years in financial services or investment operations.
5. Experience in creating and managing functional business requirements for financial, regulatory, and operational systems.
6. Strong knowledge of planning, managing audits, and engaging with regulatory entities.
Desirable
1. Holding an accounting qualification such as ACA or ACCA is advantageous.
2. Exposure to clients with large alternative/private asset portfolios.
3. Proven senior management experience leading Client Asset Oversight teams.
