Description
We are seeking a visionary Head of AI Ethics & Responsible AI to spearhead our commitment to developing and deploying artificial intelligence technologies responsibly. This senior leadership role is pivotal in establishing the frameworks and policies that will govern our AI systems, ensuring they are fair, transparent, and accountable. You will define our corporate Responsible AI strategy, working closely with C-level executives to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and manage associated risks. This position involves creating robust guidelines for bias mitigation and explainability while embedding ethical considerations into the core of our innovation process. You will lead regular audits of AI models, ensuring strict compliance with global standards like the EU AI Act and GDPR. As our chief advocate for ethical AI, you will represent the company to stakeholders, clients, and regulatory bodies, championing a culture of responsibility both internally and externally. Your expertise will be critical in balancing pioneering AI advancements with unwavering ethical integrity and trust.
Requirements
1. Minimum 7+ years of experience in a senior role within governance, compliance, technology policy, or data ethics, with significant exposure to AI/ML principles.
2. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing enterprise-wide AI governance and responsible AI frameworks.
3. In-depth knowledge of global data privacy and AI regulations (e.g., EU AI Act, GDPR, CCPA, NIST AI RMF).
4. Proven ability to conduct ethical risk assessments and audits on complex AI/ML models.
5. Experience in establishing guidelines and technical standards for fairness, bias mitigation, transparency, and explainability (XAI).
6. Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to translate complex technical and regulatory risks to non-technical audiences, including C-suite executives.
7. Strong understanding of model risk management (MRM) principles and practices within a corporate environment.
8. Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational change in a technology-focused company.
Desirable
1. An advanced degree (e.g., JD, PhD, MBA) in Law, Public Policy, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Experience engaging directly with regulatory bodies, industry consortiums, or policymakers on AI ethics topics.
3. Published thought leadership (articles, white papers, conference presentations) in the field of AI ethics or responsible AI.
4. Professional certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or similar credentials in privacy and data protection.
5. Hands-on experience with data science or machine learning development cycles.
