Description
As the Senior Manager of Operational Design & Operations for the Ports Cluster, you will be pivotal in shaping the future of our UAE port expansion areas. Your primary mission is to define and oversee the operational processes and infrastructure design, ensuring the development of safe, efficient, and scalable port operations. You will translate strategic business requirements into detailed operational models, workflows, and masterplans, covering everything from yard layouts to automation needs. This role requires close collaboration with engineering teams to validate infrastructure design and ensure perfect alignment with operational necessities. You will lead the charge on operational readiness, developing commissioning procedures, running pre-operational simulations, and creating comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Your leadership will guarantee that our new assets are fully prepared for operation, meeting timelines and setting new benchmarks for productivity and safety in the global trade landscape.
Requirements
1. Minimum 10 years of experience in terminal operations or design planning.
2. Demonstrated experience in developing operational models, including masterplans, yard/berth layouts, and cargo flows.
3. Proven ability to specify equipment requirements, and systems and automation needs for port operations.
4. Experience in developing and leading operational readiness plans and commissioning procedures.
5. Expertise in creating comprehensive terminal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for various cargo types.
6. Strong background in coordinating with engineering teams to validate infrastructure design against operational requirements.
7. Proficiency in using pre-operational simulation and modeling tools for port planning.
8. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Maritime Operations, or Engineering.
Desirable
1. Master's degree in Logistics, Maritime Operations, or a related field.
2. High level of proficiency in Arabic.
3. Experience with large-scale automation integration projects in a port environment.
4. In-depth knowledge of international port efficiency and safety standards.
5. Strong project management skills, particularly in transitional and go-live phases.
