This is an opportunity to apply Generative AI to challenges with genuine institutional and public impact. The successful candidate will lead the development of AI platforms designed to improve fiscal transparency, accelerate financial analysis, modernise internal operations, and strengthen data-driven decision-making.
The role will lead the end-to-end delivery of enterprise LLM applications, conversational AI platforms, financial copilots, and sophisticated Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines. The mandate extends from technical strategy and architecture through engineering execution, deployment, monitoring, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
It requires both. The successful candidate must be capable of setting the technical vision and leading cross-functional teams while remaining credible in architecture and delivery discussions involving Python, Node.js or TypeScript, Azure, MLOps, prompt orchestration, model fine-tuning, vector databases, security, and regulatory compliance.
The strongest candidates will bring 10 to 15 years of progressive engineering or programme leadership experience, including at least 4 years leading AI and data science initiatives. Evidence of delivering large-scale GenAI platforms in regulated environments, presenting strategy to executives, and converting advanced AI capabilities into measurable operational or financial outcomes will be especially compelling.
