About the role

We are seeking a visionary AI Product Lead to spearhead our Generative AI solutions portfolio. This pivotal role involves defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our enterprise-ready AI applications. You will be the crucial link between executive strategy and technical execution, translating complex business needs into actionable requirements for our engineering and data science teams. The ideal candidate will guide the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and iteration, for innovative tools like intelligent assistants and automated content generators. You will collaborate closely with UX designers, compliance experts, and sales to deliver commercially successful products. A key responsibility will be to navigate the rapidly evolving AI landscape, evaluating new models and vendor partnerships to maintain our competitive edge. Ultimately, you will champion the development of powerful, ethical, and compliant AI solutions that drive significant business value for our clients.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of product management experience in a technology-driven environment.
  • A minimum of 3 years of direct experience in launching and managing AI/ML products, with a strong focus on Generative AI.
  • Demonstrated expertise with large language models (LLMs), foundational models, and their respective APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, open-source models).
  • Proven track record of integrating complex AI solutions into enterprise-level systems and workflows.
  • Experience defining product requirements and user stories for data science or machine learning engineering teams.
  • Deep understanding of the MLOps lifecycle, including data pipelines, model training, and performance monitoring.
  • Strong knowledge of ethical AI principles, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR), and AI governance frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Desirable skills

  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and fine-tuning techniques for LLMs.
  • Familiarity with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their AI/ML service offerings.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS product management.
  • Prior experience in a specific industry vertical such as finance, healthcare, or logistics.

Frequently asked questions

This recruitment process is being managed by byteSpark.ai on behalf of a hiring organisation. byteSpark.ai is not the employer for this position. Further information about the organisation, product portfolio, and leadership team will be shared with shortlisted candidates at the appropriate stage.

This is an opportunity to take Generative AI beyond experimentation and turn it into enterprise products that people genuinely use. The successful candidate will own the vision and roadmap for solutions such as intelligent assistants, automated content tools, and AI-powered decision systems, taking them from business concept through launch, adoption, and continuous improvement.

The role carries genuine end-to-end product ownership. You will translate executive priorities into a clear product strategy, prioritise use cases, define requirements for engineering and data science teams, evaluate foundational models and technology partners, and align UX, compliance, sales, and technical stakeholders around commercially viable solutions.

This is not a coding role, but superficial familiarity with Generative AI will not be enough. Candidates should understand LLM APIs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, model selection, enterprise integration, MLOps, data security, performance monitoring, and the trade-offs between building, buying, fine-tuning, or partnering.

The strongest candidates will have 5 to 8 years of technology product management experience, including at least 3 years directly launching and managing AI or machine learning products. Evidence of integrating Generative AI into enterprise workflows, delivering measurable business value, navigating ethical and data-governance requirements, and influencing executive stakeholders will be especially compelling.
