Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Principal Petroleum Engineer to serve as the technical authority for well optimization across our offshore oil and gas fields. In this leadership role, you will diagnose well performance, design enhancement strategies, and drive initiatives to maximize production from complex carbonate reservoirs. You will be responsible for overseeing well completions, stimulation programs, and the management of advanced gas lift systems. This position requires applying deep expertise in production engineering to solve complex challenges and improve overall field performance. The ideal candidate will leverage strong analytical skills to interpret diverse datasets, plan critical well interventions, and develop robust IPR models. As a technical leader, you will collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams, including geoscience and drilling, to ensure integrated and effective field development. You will also mentor junior engineers and champion technical excellence within the organization. Your contributions will be pivotal in enhancing asset value and achieving our production targets.
Requirements
1. Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
2. A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in production and petroleum engineering, with a focus on offshore operations.
3. Demonstrated expertise in well diagnostics, including production logging and pressure transient analysis.
4. Proven experience in designing and executing well completions and stimulation treatments (e.g., acidizing) in carbonate reservoirs.
5. Expert-level knowledge of gas lift system design, troubleshooting, and optimization.
6. High proficiency in nodal analysis and the use of tubing hydraulics/IPR modeling software (e.g., PROSPER).
7. Strong skills in production data interpretation and intervention planning to enhance well performance.
8. A successful track record of leading projects that have resulted in measurable field production improvements.
Desirable
1. Master's degree (MSc) or PhD in Petroleum Engineering.
2. Significant experience in well integrity management, including risk assessment and remediation.
3. Proficiency in advanced petrophysical log analysis for formation evaluation.
4. Experience serving as a technical mentor or team lead for other engineers.
5. Familiarity with integrated asset modeling and digital oilfield technologies.
