We are seeking a visionary Head of Artificial Intelligence to join our dynamic technology team in Abu Dhabi. In this executive role, you will define and execute the enterprise-wide AI strategy, spearheading our transformation into an AI-first organization. You will be responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI and Machine Learning solutions, including cutting-edge LLMs, Generative AI, and predictive models. This position requires a commercially-minded leader who can align stakeholders from the C-suite to engineering teams on a unified vision. You will build and mentor a world-class AI team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Your primary objective will be to drive measurable business impact, ensuring our AI initiatives translate into significant competitive advantages. Requirements
1. Minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
2. At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role, responsible for AI strategy and team management.
3. Proven track record of successfully deploying scalable AI/ML models in a large-scale enterprise environment.
4. Deep expertise in modern AI domains, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, and advanced predictive modeling.
5. Strong proficiency in MLOps principles, including CI/CD for machine learning, model monitoring, and governance.
6. Hands-on experience with cloud architecture and AI services on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
7. Demonstrated ability to quantify and track the business impact and ROI of AI initiatives.
8. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience aligning cross-functional teams and senior executives.
Desirable
1. A Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
2. Experience working in the technology industry in the Middle East region.
3. A strong portfolio of projects that demonstrate a clear link between AI implementation and commercial success.
4. Published research in peer-reviewed AI conferences or journals.
5. Experience establishing an AI Center of Excellence or a similar dedicated AI function.

This is a genuine executive mandate with responsibility for AI strategy, operating model, architecture, governance, talent, and delivery. The Head of AI will align C-suite stakeholders, establish a unified roadmap, build a high-performing function, and ensure AI initiatives progress from experimentation into secure, production-grade solutions.

The strongest candidates will bring at least 10 years of AI and machine learning experience, including 5 or more years leading significant teams or functions. They should have delivered enterprise-scale LLM, Generative AI, predictive modelling, or advanced analytics solutions and be able to demonstrate measurable business outcomes.

It requires both. The successful candidate must be commercially credible with executives while retaining enough technical depth to challenge decisions involving cloud architecture, MLOps, model deployment, monitoring, governance, and scalability. Experience establishing an AI Center of Excellence or building an AI function from the ground up would be especially valuable.
