Agro Director - ICAPP

Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Agro Director to lead the agricultural strategy and execution across our Nubaria and Salhia Farms. The role demands daily on-site presence with hybrid work arrangements, including two days weekly at our 10th of Ramadan factory and Americana Plaza. The position focuses on managing comprehensive farming and procurement activities, with a particular emphasis on strawberry cultivation and core vegetable crop operations. The Agro Director will optimize crop planning, quality, yield, and supplier collaborations, aligning all operations with production and commercial goals. Additionally, the role aims to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability across all farm sites, driving continuous agricultural innovation.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline with relevance to agriculture.

2. Proven experience of 20-25 years in a leadership role, preferably as an Agro Director or a similar position.

3. Demonstrated expertise in implementing innovative agricultural strategies and optimizing farm operations.

4. Proficient in managing end-to-end farming processes with a focus on crop quality, yield performance, and sustainability.

5. Strong financial acumen in budgeting and monitoring agricultural sector performance.

6. Experience in guiding, mentoring, and building effective teams at multiple farm locations.

Desirable

1. Experience in strawberry cultivation and core vegetable crop expertise.

2. Exposure to aligning sustainability goals with agricultural efficiency.

3. Knowledge in evidence-based advocacy and advisory work in agriculture.
