The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the growth and profitability of the collectibles and merchandise segment by managing the product portfolio, building brand relationships, developing sales strategies, and leading efforts to expand the business across the market. This role demands a professional with solid product management expertise and a successful sales background. Key Responsibilities: 1. Product Management: - Oversee and refine the product lineup for collectibles and merchandise. - Establish and maintain strong relationships with brands to secure exclusive distribution rights. - Manage product development processes to ensure timely market introduction of new products. - Oversee the product lifecycle, from sourcing and development to launch and post-launch analysis. - Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, logistics, finance) to ensure smooth product launches and availability. 2. Sales Strategy and Execution: - Develop and implement sales strategies to grow the collectibles and merch business. - Set sales targets and develop plans to achieve them. - Identify new market opportunities. - Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional campaigns. 3. Market Expansion: - Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape. - Develop strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the customer base. - Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conventions to promote products and build networks. 4. Operational Efficiency: - Manage inventory, including stock levels, forecasting, and ordering. - Ensure efficient operations and logistics support for sales and distribution. - Implement and uphold company policies and procedures related to sales and product management. 5.Sales Team Training: - Develop and implement training programs for the sales team to ensure comprehensive product knowledge. - Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to update the sales team on new products, features, and market trends. - Provide ongoing support and resources to enhance the sales team’s effectiveness. 6. Reporting and Analysis: - Generate regular reports on sales and product performance for senior management. - Analyze sales data and market trends to provide actionable insights. - Stay updated on industry developments and best practices.
Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Product Management, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management and sales, preferably in the collectibles or merchandise industry.
3. Strong product management and sales skills.
4. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
5. Effective trainer with a commitment to team development and exceptional public speaking skills.
6. Analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
