TETRA CAD and IP Telephony Consultant
Description
We are seeking a seasoned TETRA CAD and IP Telephony Consultant to lead the design and implementation of comprehensive telecommunications solutions. This role involves providing expert technical guidance in Core TETRA Switching Nodes, Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), and IP Telephony Systems, as well as ensuring optimal interconnection with diverse communication networks. The successful candidate will be pivotal in reviewing and formulating design documents, engaging with client engineering teams, and forecasting network capacity. This position offers the opportunity to shape innovative telecommunication solutions and enhance emergency communication systems. Experience in the following vendor and (products) will be beneficial. Beta80Group(Life1st), Frequentis(Unique CAD / ICCS), Hexagon(Public Safety portfolio (HxGN Connect)), Everbridge(SAGA), Systel(START).
Requirements
1. Proven experience in overseeing Core TETRA Switching Nodes, CAD, and IP Telephony solutions.
2. In-depth knowledge of interconnection protocols with PSTN, IP Telephony Systems, and other Mobile Networks.
3. Proficiency in designing and implementing TEDS, Packet Data Service via PPP and IP, along with knowledge in WAP and PSTN Gateways.
4. Experience in echo cancellation techniques and fleet mapping.
5. Ability to prepare comprehensive design review reports and provide actionable recommendations.
6. Familiarity with leading vendors’ solutions such as Motorola (Tetra Core), APD (CAD), and Cisco (IP Telephony).
Desirable
1. Fluency in Arabic in addition to English.
2. Strong capacity planning and forecasting skills in a telecommunications environment.
3. Experience in emergency telecommunications systems.
