A client of byteSpark.ai, headquartered in Dubai, is seeking an experienced Operations Service Engineer to support the deployment, management, and troubleshooting of high-performance telecom and intelligence systems at customer sites. The candidate will be responsible for implementing a lawful intercept solution, which involves managing complex backend systems and infrastructure across distributed nodes. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Linux system administration, networking, and working with databases and virtualization technologies. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, an understanding of telecommunications systems, and the ability to manage the solution’s lifecycle from deployment to post-deployment support. This position requires hands-on involvement at client locations, ensuring successful deployment and troubleshooting of complex systems, often under tight deadlines. The Operations Service Engineer will also collaborate with development teams to resolve any technical issues and ensure that systems are fully operational during Proof of Concept (POC) implementations. Key Responsibilities: - System Deployment & Integration: Install, configure, and manage the lawful intercept solution on-site, including distributed systems involving backend and frontend components. - System Administration: Manage Linux systems at the RHCE level, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability. - Networking & Telecom Interfaces: Configure and troubleshoot network systems at the CCNA level, ensuring telecom interfaces and protocols are working effectively with the solution. - Database Administration: Administer databases such as ClickHouse, MySQL, or MariaDB to ensure data storage and querying performance meets operational needs. - Virtualization & Containerization: Deploy and manage virtualization systems like Proxmox and XCP-ng and containerization platforms like Docker and Puppet to ensure seamless service deployment. - System Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve system issues during on-site deployments, working under pressure to meet project timelines. - Customer Engagement: Collaborate with the client's technical teams to support project success, offering guidance and technical support as needed. - Lifecycle Management: Provide post-deployment support and ongoing system maintenance to ensure the solution's performance over time. - Documentation & Reporting: Maintain technical documentation and provide regular updates to the project team regarding deployment status and any technical issues encountered.
