Post Processing Engineer – Telecom Network Optimization

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Post Processing Engineer to join our telecom network optimization team. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing network performance across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies by analyzing drive test data and evaluating key performance indicators. You will troubleshoot complex VoLTE and IMS performance issues, utilizing your expertise in SIP/SDP call flows and packet analysis. A key part of your role will be to generate insightful performance reports using cloud-based tools like Power BI and Tableau to guide optimization strategies. You will manage ICT platform faults, support B2B customer complaint analysis, and collaborate closely with RF teams to ensure a superior network quality for our end users. This position requires a proactive problem-solver with deep technical knowledge and a passion for data-driven network improvement.

Requirements

1. Extensive experience in post-processing and analysis of drive test logs using tools like TEMS, NQDI, QXDM, or GENEX.

2. Proficiency in evaluating and optimizing network KPIs (e.g., call setup, drop rates) for GSM, UMTS, LTE, and 5G NR networks.

3. In-depth knowledge of VoLTE/IMS architecture and troubleshooting using protocols such as SIP, SDP, and Diameter.

4. Hands-on experience with packet analysis tools, specifically Wireshark, for VoIP and IMS traffic analysis.

5. Demonstrated ability to generate reports and visualize data using Power BI and/or Tableau.

6. Familiarity with managing ICT platform faults and tracking issues through systems like Siebel.

7. Strong understanding of RF optimization principles for IBS, small cells, and macro networks.

8. Experience with functionality testing, including SRVCC and inter-RAT handover validations.

Desirable

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.

2. Over 8 years of hands-on experience in telecom network optimization and post-processing.

3. Previous work experience in a major telecom operator environment.

4. Certifications in Data Analytics (Python, Tableau, Power BI).

5. Knowledge of IoT network technologies and performance metrics.
