We are seeking an experienced Compliance Specialist for Data & AI Governance to join our Enterprise Compliance function. This pivotal role involves establishing and overseeing a robust governance framework for data and artificial intelligence across the organization. You will be responsible for defining and enforcing policies and controls for data management, AI ethics, and model governance. The ideal candidate will ensure all data and AI assets are managed responsibly, securely, and transparently throughout their lifecycle. This position provides strategic and operational advisory on the adoption of smart solutions, promoting ethical and compliant use of data and AI. You will collaborate with leadership to proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with evolving regulations and technologies. Ultimately, you will drive a culture of responsible data use and AI ethics, contributing to the organization's maturity in data stewardship and model governance.
Requirements
1. 7-10 years of progressive experience in Data Governance, AI Risk Management, or a related compliance field.
2. Demonstrated expertise in establishing and operationalizing enterprise-wide data and AI governance frameworks.
3. Strong proficiency in managing data lifecycle processes, including data cataloging, lineage, classification, and quality.
4. Proven ability to implement AI governance and risk controls, covering model risk, bias mitigation, and transparency.
5. In-depth understanding of global data protection and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
6. Experience developing compliance documentation, evidence packs, and audit trails.
7. Ability to provide strategic advisory on data and AI risks to senior leadership and technical teams.
8. Experience embedding governance gates and compliance checkpoints into project and solution lifecycles.
Desirable
1. Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or Business Administration.
2. Professional certifications such as CDMP, CIPP/E, or ISO 27001/27701 Lead Implementer.
3. Proficiency with data governance platforms like Microsoft Purview or Collibra.
4. Familiarity with AI model management and compliance monitoring tools.
5. Experience in leading awareness programs to foster a culture of data compliance and AI ethics.
