Description
We are seeking an expert Access Control System (ACS) Consultant to spearhead the development of enterprise-grade, integrated smart access solutions for diverse, large-scale venues including stadiums, hospitals, and corporate campuses. In this strategic role, you will lead the end-to-end design and engineering of complex ACS systems, from conceptualization to commissioning. You will provide critical guidance on system architecture, technology selection, and integration with a wide array of physical security and building management systems such as CCTV, ANPR, and gate barriers. Your responsibilities will include conducting site surveys, developing detailed design documentation, and overseeing project implementation. This position requires a seasoned professional who can manage multi-disciplinary teams, ensure solutions are compliant and future-proof, and provide lifecycle support to maintain system integrity and performance.
Requirements
1. Minimum 10 years of experience in ACS system design, consultancy, and integration for large-scale, multi-function venues.
2. Proven expertise in designing and deploying enterprise-level ACS platforms like LenelS2, Genetec, Gallagher, or Honeywell.
3. Demonstrated experience in developing smart integration strategies for ACS with CCTV, ANPR, gate barriers, turnstiles, and BMS.
4. Comprehensive project management experience leading multi-disciplinary ACS deployments from design through to commissioning.
5. Expert knowledge of communication protocols including OSDP, Wiegand, RS-485, and TCP/IP.
6. Deep understanding of modern credential technologies such as MIFARE DESFire EV3, HID Seos, biometrics, and mobile credentials.
7. Proficiency with AutoCAD or Visio for creating and interpreting ACS system layouts, wiring diagrams, and network topologies.
8. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Security Technology, or a related field.
Desirable
1. Physical Security Professional (PSP) or Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification from ASIS.
2. Advanced system-specific certifications such as LenelS2 Certified Professional (LCP/LCE) or Genetec Certified Technical Professional (GCTP).
3. Advanced coursework or specialization in Security Systems Design.
4. Experience developing lifecycle management, preventive maintenance, and system health monitoring plans.
5. Experience in vendor selection, procurement support, and quality control for ACS components.
