Survey Technician

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Survey Technician to join our Customer Network Solution team. This pivotal role focuses on the end-to-end delivery of network solutions for our Business-to-Business (B2B) customers. You will be responsible for surveying customer sites, provisioning complex network services such as MPLS IPVPNs and SDWAN, and installing customer premises equipment (CPE). The ideal candidate will manage field service requests through third-party vendors, ensuring all work adheres to strict KPI standards. A key aspect of this position involves coordinating with internal departments and external partners to meet committed deadlines and uphold our reputation for excellence. You will provide remote technical support, educate clients on site prerequisites, and contribute to service delivery improvement by creating insightful management reports. Your work is critical to maintaining customer satisfaction, influencing client retention, and directly impacting our business objectives.

Requirements

1. A Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent progressive experience in B2B Telco environments.

2. A valid and current CCNA certification is mandatory.

3. Minimum of three years of relevant experience in provisioning and troubleshooting MPLS IP services and Voice services CPE.

4. Hands-on proficiency with physical network troubleshooting, L2/L3 Protocols, IPv4, IPv6, and MPLS.

5. Demonstrated experience with network hardware such as Cisco and Huawei routers and switches.

6. Strong technical expertise with networking tools like traffic analyzers, fiber optic power meters, and Ethernet testers.

7. Experience creating technical documentation and management reports on service delivery performance.

8. Proven ability to coordinate with internal teams and manage third-party vendors to meet deadlines.

Desirable

1. ITIL or BICSI certification.

2. Experience with modern B2B solutions like SDWAN and Managed Connectivity.

3. Proficiency with reporting tools such as Siebel, ERP, or Smart Sales Solutions.

4. Excellent customer-facing communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Flexibility in work hours to meet project and customer demands.
