Description
We are seeking a distinguished Senior OpenShift Platform Engineer to architect, implement, and manage our enterprise-grade container platforms. This role is pivotal in designing and maintaining robust OpenShift 4.x clusters, primarily on Microsoft Azure, ensuring maximum scalability, security, and high availability. You will lead the automation of infrastructure using Ansible and Terraform and drive the evolution of our CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, Tekton, and ArgoCD. Your expertise will be crucial in embedding container security best practices and ensuring compliance across all environments. Collaborating closely with DevOps, Security, and Application teams, you will provide technical leadership and mentorship. The ideal candidate will leverage their deep knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure to troubleshoot complex issues and optimize platform performance. Requirements
1. 8+ years of experience in container platform design and implementation
2. Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift (v4.x) architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management
3. Proven experience deploying and managing OpenShift on Microsoft Azure (ARO or self-managed)
4. Solid understanding of Kubernetes core architecture and container orchestration principles
5. Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible and Terraform for platform automation
6. Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Tekton, and/or ArgoCD
7. Demonstrated experience with container security best practices, including image scanning and vulnerability management
8. Proficiency with Azure cloud services, including networking, storage, identity, and security
Desirable
1. Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or Architecture
2. Experience with hybrid cloud and multi-cluster OpenShift designs using tools like Red Hat ACM
3. Familiarity with Service Mesh implementation and management (e.g., Istio)
4. Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the EFK stack
