Network Architect Lead

We are seeking an experienced Network Architect Lead to spearhead the architectural design of cutting-edge network solutions for premier sports venues. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for creating scalable, secure, and high-performance network infrastructures, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and data center networks, tailored for international sports events and daily operations. You will provide technical leadership and mentorship to a skilled team of network architects, guiding them through project planning, execution, and delivery. This position involves defining and documenting network architecture, performing capacity planning, and managing the full lifecycle of project documentation from business case to implementation. You will also evaluate new technologies, manage vendor relationships through POCs and RFPs, and oversee network budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness. Your expertise will be crucial in driving best practices and ensuring our network solutions meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

Requirements

1. 10+ years of work experience in IT, with 6+ years in a similar network architecture role.

2. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

3. Mandatory certification: CCIE, CCNP, or an equivalent in Cloud and SD-WAN technologies.

4. Expertise in network design and architecture for LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and cloud infrastructure.

5. Proven experience leading large-scale network projects and managing a technical team.

6. Proficiency in creating end-to-end documentation including Business Cases, RFPs, HLDs, and LLDs.

7. Strong skills in vendor management, technology evaluation, and stakeholder communication.

8. Demonstrated experience in budgeting, cost management, and procurement for network infrastructure.

Desirable

1. Direct experience designing network solutions for large sports venues or major international events.

2. Advanced knowledge of SD-WAN and cloud networking technologies and solutions.

3. Expertise in network security principles and tools such as Cisco ISE.

4. Strong understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery planning for critical network services.

5. Experience in post-project cost and performance analysis.
