Description
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Maintenance Engineer for a 2-month contract in Qatar, with the potential for extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive planning, supervision, and execution of all maintenance activities to ensure the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency for our equipment and facilities. This role involves rigorous follow-up on assigned tasks, providing technical guidance to technicians, and coordinating with contractors to meet strict deadlines. You will conduct regular inspections, manage maintenance schedules, and ensure all work complies with company policies and Qatar regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting abilities, a deep understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance, and the ability to interpret complex technical documents. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining accurate records, suggesting process improvements, and ensuring seamless operations.
Requirements
1. Must possess a valid UPDA Certification.
2. A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in maintenance engineering or a similar technical role.
3. Demonstrated expertise in preventive, corrective, and routine maintenance practices.
4. Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
5. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and/or civil systems.
6. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and local Qatar regulations.
7. Experience in creating and managing maintenance schedules and allocating resources.
8. Competency in reviewing and maintaining technical documentation, including job cards and reports.
Desirable
1. An engineering diploma or degree is highly preferred.
2. Proven experience in coordinating and leading technicians and external contractors.
3. Excellent communication, leadership, and time-management skills.
4. Experience in coordinating with vendors for spare parts and materials.
5. Ability to identify and implement improvements to maintenance processes.
