Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Scientist to join our Data Governance team. In this role, you will be pivotal in enhancing our data quality, integrity, and accessibility. You will apply your expertise in data preparation, profiling, and quality analysis to identify anomalies and translate findings into actionable improvements. Your work will involve writing complex SQL queries to profile datasets across multiple systems and automating analytical workflows using Python and APIs. A key responsibility will be supporting the adoption and utilization of our Data Governance Platform, Collibra, by providing data-driven insights. You will also develop clear and insightful dashboards in Power BI or Tableau to monitor governance metrics for key stakeholders. This position requires close collaboration with Data Governance, BI, and IT teams to mature our data ecosystem and empower the organization with trusted data.
Requirements
1. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or in a similar analytics role.
2. Proven experience in data preparation, including cleaning, transformation, feature engineering, and profiling.
3. Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries to retrieve, join, and profile datasets across multiple systems.
4. Hands-on experience with Data Governance Platforms, preferably Collibra.
5. Demonstrated ability to automate analytical workflows, DQ checks, and reporting using Python or APIs.
6. Experience in building clear, interactive dashboards and analytical reports using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
7. Expertise in Data Quality Analysis, including identifying anomalies, thresholds, outliers, and performing root cause analysis.
8. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to present insights and guide business teams.
Desirable
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
2. Professional certifications such as Collibra Ranger, CDMP, or other data analytics certifications (e.g., Google, AWS).
3. Prior experience working in the Telecommunications industry.
4. Direct experience with Collibra integrations and workflow development.
